Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor; former Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University; and leader of the National Key Clinical Specialty (Gastroenterology). Graduated from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1984 and received a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1990. Completed over two years of postdoctoral research at the University of New South Wales in Australia. Promoted to Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at the age of 33. Has long been engaged in the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and research of digestive system diseases, with particularly extensive clinical experience in the management of inflammatory bowel disease. Established China's Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Quality Control Evaluation Center and the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Specialty Alliance, significantly advancing the standardized clinical management of inflammatory bowel disease in China. Specialties With 40 years of experience in the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and research of various digestive system diseases, particularly extensive clinical expertise in inflammatory bowel disease, Helicobacter pylori, and gastrointestinal motility disorders.
